Iyengar class for those with 2 years practice. In this class we will explore how we can benefit from deep regular study of yoga and pranayama, and start to integrate yoga philosophy into our lives.

A class for teenagers aged 12-17 who are curious about yoga. Creating strength and flexibility and also some time to just be calm and enjoy a break from our frantic, screen-filled lives.

Iyengar class for men. Not sure how to put this... so to summarise, if you want to try yoga but don't want to be in a class of bendy women, then this is yours!

A slower paced Iyengar class. If you are recovering from an injury or an older student inquisitive about how yoga can help you keep moving come and try this class.

Suitable for those suffering the after effects of any chronic illness including covid. A recuperative class to support your immune system whilst you recover from illness.

Therapeutic Iyengar class. This class is designed for those with serious injuries or medical conditions. Please note: a place in class is by application only and requires an initial consultation with Jill Johnson.

Feel Good Fridays Timetable

A variety of relaxing and therapeutic classes for all abilities.

 

Over the month we will have a choice of a recuperative class, some pranayama or a gong spa bath. Gong Spa Baths can be booked at gongspa.co.uk, all other classes can be booked here at cheshire-yoga.com

Workshops Timetable

We are offering a programme of workshops every month with the emphasis on exploring different aspects of yoga in more detail over a 2-3 hour session.

Starting with our Hip Hip Hooray in September we invite you to come and sample more yoga. The longer sessions will enable students to work with the teachers in more detail. Or try something new, for example, with our Dynamic Flow and Yoga Breathing in October.

Do your hips ache when you wake up? Do they feel stiff & not very happy? Help is at hand, lets oil those joints!

Saturday 24th September - Adjustments  with Jill: 2.00 - 4.30 pm

 

A specialist workshop for teachers re-arranged from July. After the COVID pandemic and months spent teaching on zoom, now that students are back in the studio, come and refresh your adjustment skills. Under Jill's expert tutelage, work in an interactive session looking at physical adjustments and the use of equipment to assist your students safely to achieve good alignment and poses.

Saturday 8th October Dynamic Flow with Andrea: 2.00 - 3.30 pm

 

Fancy trying some active, flowing sequences. Using poses which we are familiar with, we will put them together into a dynamic programme. Follow this with the Yoga Breathing session on Sunday morning. Book both sessions for the discounted price of £20

Saturday 9th October - Yoga Breathing  with Jill: 8.00 - 9.00 am

After the Dynamic Flow on Saturday, come along and work on your yogic breathing (pranayama). An opportunity to learn more about breathing techniques and the physical and mental benefits which come with sustained practice. Great if combined with Dynamic Flow. Book both sessions for the discounted price of £20

Saturday 12th November - Wake up your spine  with Jill 2.00-4.30pm

Never underestimate the importance of good back care. Awaken and align your body with this longer session which focuses on lengthening your spine and making space to stretch and move your spine.

Friday 26th November - Shoulders  with Jill 2.00-4.00pm

Do your shoulders feel creaky? Do they crunch when you move? Do they generally feel a bit achy? Come and spend a couple of hours giving them some love and attention and create some space to move.
